GRAND TOWER (WSIL) -- Officials now say the in Grand Tower are worse than they thought.

Back in August, floodwaters caused multiple sinkholes to form along Front Street.

Fire Chief Dennis Wright now saying it could cost 6 million dollars to fix the road, sewer and storm drains.

Firefighters will inspect the damage this weekend amid the heavy rainfalls. Wright said the rain might make the holes worsen.

"We could have some more collapse over here, all this rain," said Wright.

Wright said the deadline for all FEMA requests will be at the end of the month.
