(WEEK) -- State health officials announced 13,012 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing Illinois' total to 634,395.
An additional 126 deaths related to the virus also being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health, raising the state's death toll to 11,304.
The statewide seven-day test positivity rate dipped slightly to 13.4%.
As of Nov. 17, the positivity rate for Region 5, which encompasses most of southern Illinois, is at 13.2%.
As of Thursday night, 6,111 individuals with COVID-19 in Illinois were reported to be hospitalized, with 1,196 in the intensive care unit and 604 on ventilators.
Labs in the last 24 hours have reported an additional 116,024 tests for the virus, bringing the total to 9,588,698.
