18 new cases of COVID-19 reported in southern Illinois

(WSIL) -- Health departments across southern Illinois are reporting 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

Franklin County:

  • Females: One in their 20's, one in their 30's, one in their 50's and one in their 60's.
  • Males: One in their 30's.

To date, there have been a total of 4,319 laboratory confirmed positives in Franklin county of COVID-19, including 60 deaths. Of those cases, 4,187 have recovered in Franklin county.

Jackson County:

  • Females: Two in their 20's

Health officials are currently monitoring 27 active cases. Jackson County has had 4,720 cases to date, with 72 related deaths. So far, 4,621 individuals released from isolation, including three Saturday.

Saline County:

  • Female: 1 in their 40’s, 1 in their 70’s

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,541 lab confirmed positives, including 49 deaths.

White County:

  • Female: 1 in their 50’s
  • Male: 1 in their 20’s

White County has had a total of 1,740 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths.

Williamson County:

  • Females: One teenager, one in their 30's and one in their 70's.
  • Males: One teenager, two in their 50's and one in their 60's.

To date, there have been a total of 7,207 laboratory confirmed positives in Williamson county of COVID-19, including 118 deaths. Of those positive cases, 6,869 have recovered in Williamson county.

Illinois Department of Public Health:

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,962 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease Saturday, including 25 additional deaths.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,220,432 cases, including 21,059 deaths across the state.

A total of 4,631,122 vaccines have been administered.
