21 new cases of COVID-19 in Jefferson County

(WSIL) -- Fifteen southern Illinois counties reported new cases of COVID-19 Thursday.

Jefferson County had the most with 21 new cases, followed by Williamson County with 17 and Franklin County with 13.

To date, there have been 771 confirmed cases, including 35 deaths, in Jefferson County.

On Thursday, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 3,059 new cases of COVID-19 in the state, including 32 additional confirmed deaths.

It's the state's highest new daily caseload since May 14, when 3,239 cases were confirmed. IDPH did report more than 5,300 cases on Sept. 4, but that number was the result of a data processing backlog.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 310,700 cases, including 8,910 deaths, in Illinois.

ALEXANDER COUNTY

  • One female in her 60s

Alexander County has had 93 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death. ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Seven Health Department says 32 cases are currently active.

FRANKLIN COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 30s, two in their 40s, one in her 50s and two in their 70s
  • Male: One teen, two in their 30s, two in their 40s, one in his 50s and one in his 70s

Bi-County Health Department reported 13 new cases of COVID-19 in Franklin County Thursday.

To date, there have been 630 confirmed cases, including six deaths, in Franklin County. Bi-County says 417 of the positive cases have recovered.

GALLATIN COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 50s
  • Male: One in his 30s and one in his 50s

Egyptian Health Department says all three individuals are at home in isolation. Gallatin County has had 88 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths.

HAMILTON COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 40s and one in her 80s
  • Male: One in his 40s and one in his 50s

Hamilton County has had 87 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths. Health officials say five people are currently isolating at home.

JACKSON COUNTY

  • Female: One under 10, four in their 20s and two in their 40s
  • Male: One under 10, two in their 20s and one in his 30s

Jackson County Health Department reported 11 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday.

To date, there have been 1,325 confirmed cases in the county, including 24 related deaths. According to the health department, 52 active cases are currently being managed.

JEFFERSON COUNTY

  • Female: One teen, one in her 20s, three in their 40s, two in their 50s, four in their 60s and one in her 70s
  • Male: One in his 20s, two in their 30s, one in his 50s, three in their 60s and two in their 70s

Jefferson County Health Department reported 21 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday.

JOHNSON COUNTY

  • Female: Two in 10s, four in their 20s, one in her 30s, one in her 40s and one in her 60s

There have been 271 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Johnson County. ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Seven Health Department says 104 cases are currently active.

MASSAC COUNTY

  • One male in his 60s

Massac County has had 128 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths. ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Seven Health Department says 49 cases are currently active.

PERRY COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 30s and one in her 80s

Perry County has had 370 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 16 deaths. The health department says there are 17 active cases.

POPE COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 70s
  • Male: One in his 50s and one in his 70s

There have been 29 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death, in Pope County. Thirteen cases are currently active.

PULASKI COUNTY

  • One female in her 10s

Pulaski County has had 195 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death. ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Seven Health Department says 36 cases are currently active.

SALINE COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 20s, one in her 60s and one in her 70s
  • Male: One under the age of 13 and two in his 40s

According to Egyptian Health Department, there have been 441 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Saline County, including six deaths.

UNION COUNTY

  • Female: One in 10s, one in her 30s, two in their 50s, one in her 60s and one in her 70s
  • Male: One in his 20s, one in his 30s and one in his 40s

Union County has had 589 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 20 deaths. ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Seven Health Department says 154 cases are currently active.

WHITE COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 20s and one in her 60s
  • Male: One in his teens, one in his 30s and one in his 90s

To date, Egyptian Health Department has reported 199 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death, in White County.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

  • Female: One preschooler, two teens, two in their 20s, two in their 40s, three in their 50s and one in her 60s
  • Male: One in his 30s, two in their 40s, one in his 60s, one in his 70s and one in his 80s

Bi-County Health Department reported 17 new cases of COVID-19 in Williamson County Thursday.

To date, there have been 1,541 confirmed cases, including 57 deaths, in the county. Bi-County says 995 of the positive cases have recovered.
