MARION (WSIL) -- Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department has announced five new COVID-19 cases.
The new cases are:
- Franklin County: 1 female teenager
- Williamson County: 2 men in their 40s, 1 man in his 50s, 1 woman in her 70s
All are being placed in isolation.
"Most Williamson County residents who have tested positive within the last week are tied to an outbreak at a workplace outside of Williamson County," said the health department in a release Monday afternoon.
To date, there have been 37 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Williamson County and 10 confirmed cases in Franklin County.
Of the positive cases, 13 have recovered in Williamson County, and 5 have recovered in Franklin County.
On Monday, the  (IDPH) reported 2,341 new cases of COVID-19, including 46 additional deaths.
IDPH is reporting a total of 63,840 cases, including 2,662 deaths, in 97 counties in Illinois.
