Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels on the Big Muddy River will continue to drop, falling below
flood stage at Plumfield Sunday, and at Murphysboro Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until Monday, April 21.

- At 9:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 25.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday evening and continue falling to 19.1 feet Monday,
April 21.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Bi-County Health reports 3 new cases of COVID-19

(WSIL) -- Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department has reported three new cases of COVID-19.

The health department says the three new cases are:

  • A female in her 50s, from Williamson County, likely acquired while working in the healthcare setting and is on home isolation and doing well.
  • A female in her 40s, from Franklin County, likely acquired from community spread and is home in isolation and is doing well.
  • A female in her 40s from Franklin County, likely acquired from community spread and is currently hospitalized.

Public health officials are investigating, to determine who may have contact with the individuals before they were diagnosed.

There are currently 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Williamson County and 4 positive cases in Franklin County.
