(WSIL) -- During this COVID-19 outbreak, there's a fight to keep up with the demand of medical supplies.

Many local hospitals and doctor's offices have said they need more personal protective wear and another joins that list.

is in need of face masks as their extra stock pile is out.

Health care providers there are providing testing for the Coronavirus while keeping up with their regular services such as family medicine, behavioral health and pediatrics.

President Kim Mitroka wants patients to know they're open for appointments as usual and there's no wait to be tested for COVID-19 if that person has symptoms and may have been exposed.

"I don't want people to have the impression that we've closed everything off that we are not seeing them and not here for them," she explains.

However, staff are in need of personal protective equipment.

Mitroka says the group has reached out to county health departments where they serve patients and local businesses.

"I think out of the ten health departments that we deal with, we've gotten support from two of them that have given us some of those supplies," she recalls. "We're going to nail salons, we're going to construction companies."

The goal is to get more personal protective wear to keep staff and patients protected.

"We have to protect our staff; We also have to protect the patients by giving them masks when they come into the building ," Mitroka says.

Those interested in donating can contact the clinic closest to them at 1-800-408-7351.
