ILLINOIS (WSIL) -- Illinois is ending the operation of community-based COVID-19 testing sites at the end of the month.
The sharp drop in demand for the testing sites and the anticipation of federal funding for the sites coming to an end has led the Illinois Department of Public Health to make the decision. The department adds the availability of free at-home tests and a network of SHIELD saliva tests sites also factor in to the decision.
