MT. VERNON (WSIL) -- The Jefferson County Health Department is reporting two deaths and an additional case of COVID-19.
In a release Saturday morning, the health department reported that a male and female long-term care resident, both in their 90s, died Friday from the disease.
In addition, a female resident in her 20s was diagnosed with COVID-19 and is now in isolation at her home. To date, the county health department has recorded 80 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19, including four deaths.
Nine of the positive cases have now been released from isolation.
