.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River for the next
week, dropping near to below flood stage by April 21.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday evening and continue falling to 19.6 feet Monday,
April 21.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

IDPH: More than 1,500 new cases of COVID-19

SPRINGFIELD (WSIL) � The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has announced 1,529 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 in Illinois, including 82 additional deaths.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 15,078 cases, including 462 deaths, in 78 counties in Illinois.

The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years.
