(WSIL) -- Several local restaurants have temporarily closed due to COVID-19.
La Fiesta in Marion made an announcement on Facebook that they are increasing safety measures after one employee tested positive for the virus.
They told News 3 they immediately hired a cleaning service and are working to protect customers and staff.
"We don't want everybody being scared, you know? You know, all of our employees they wear masks. You know, since day one that we reopened we wore masks and we have worn gloves," said La Fiesta Marketing Director Michael Oliver.
He also said once dine-in returns there will be a contactless menu for customers.
And in Carbondale, some restaurants have been adjusting by closing their dining rooms.
Thai Taste says they had dine-in for only a week before going back to only carry-out and delivery.
They told News 3 the business has had no positive cases, but are staying cautious to keep guests and employees safe.
"You know, I just didn't want to expose the staff and the customers unnecessarily…um, you know, get a bunch people together in a confined space in a building," said owner Tam Rachatanavin.
The owner says they now take payment over the phone for their contactless procedures.
