CARBONDALE, IL (WSI) -- SIU women's basketball is taking a pause after one of its players tested positive for COVID-19.
Coach Cindy Stein announced Friday the team will now undergo contact tracing and quarantines.
Those moves mean the team won't have enough players to take part in Sunday's scheduled game with Memphis.
According to a press release:
The Salukis will being a 7-day pause until re-testing can take place, and will also cancel their appearance at next weekend's Compass Challenge hosted by Eastern Illinois.聽
