WSIL -- Health departments in southern Illinois are reporting 14 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, January 31, 2021.
Jackson County:
- Female: one in her twenties and one in her sixties.
- Male: one in his twenties
Health officials are currently monitoring 146 active cases. Jackson County has had 4,437 cases to date, with 66 related deaths. Of those positive cases 4,225 individuals released from isolation, including 20 Sunday.
Randolph County:
- 2 new cases
- Ages and genders not provided
These cases are for January 30, 2021 and are the most recent to be released. Health official say there are 79 active cases. Randolph County has had 3,878 confirmed cases, including 76 individuals who have passed away. So far 3,723 have been released from isolation.
Saline County:
- Female: 1 in their 50’s
- Male: 1 in their 30’s, 1 in their 60’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,289 lab confirmed positives, including 42 deaths.
White County:
- Female: 1 under the age of 10, 1 in their 30’s, 1 in their 40’s
- Male: 1 under the age of 10, 1 in their teens, 1 in their 20’s
White County has had a total of 1,571 lab-confirmed positives, including 24 deaths.
Illinois Department of Public Health:
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 2,428 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease Sunday, including 40 additional deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,126,301 cases, including 19,243 deaths across the state.
 A total of 981,988 vaccines administered, including 156,872 for long-term care facilities.
