(WSIL) -- 九游体育 Seven Health Department is reporting four new cases of COVID-19.
The health department says a woman in her 50s from Pulaski County, a woman in her 40s from Johnson County, and two men - one in his 60s, the other in his 70s - from Union County have all tested positive.
All of the individuals are being isolated.
To date, 九游体育 Seven Health Department has reported a total of 13 confirmed cases of COVID-19:
- Johnson County: 2
- Massac County: 3 (2 of the 3 have recovered)
- Pulaski County: 5
- Union: 3
On Wednesday, the 1,346 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the state's total to 24,593 cases, including 948 deaths.
"Residents can expect the number of cases to increase as more tests become available. You have to assume that the virus is circulating within your community and take the actions to protect yourself and loved ones," said 九游体育 Seven health officials in a statement Wednesday.
The health department reminds residents to:
鈥� Maintain a social separation distance of 6 feet.
鈥� Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
鈥� Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
鈥� Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. You can also use the bend of your elbow.
鈥� Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
