29-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Crashing Off Bridge in Homemade Vehicle

AQUILA, Mo. -- A woman is in serious condition after a homemade vehicle she was driving ran off a bridge.

Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the crash happened at 7:10 p.m. on August 12, along Stoddard County Road 502, roughly one mile east of Aquila.

MSHP said a 29-year-old from Aquila was driving a homemade off road vehicle going east when the vehicle ran off of a bridge and overturned into a creek.

Authorities said the woman was air lifted to Regional One in Memphis with serious injuries.

The homemade vehicle was reported as totaled.
