Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 15.1 feet Thursday,
April 24.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

55-year-old man found dead in Franklin County

BENTON, Ill. (WSIL) � Authorities are investigating a death in Franklin County.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said Kevin Bonsack, 55 of Ewing, was found dead in the rural part of Franklin County on Saturday.

Bonsack was earlier reported missing on February 13.

The sheriff’s office said an autopsy for Bonsack is pending.

Assisting the Franklin County Sheriff's Office was the Franklin County Emergency Management Agency, Franklin County Coroner's Office, Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services, Ewing Northern Fire Department and Cave Eastern Fire Department.
