55-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Motorcycle Crashes in a Ditch

PERRY COUNTY, Mo. -- One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash on Monday night in Perry County, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said the crash happened at 9:30 p.m. along Route J, roughly one mile east of Perry County Road 732.

A 55-year-old man from Paragould, Arkansas, was driving a 2008 Kawasaki Concours 1400 and going east when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and hit a ditch, MSHP said in a crash report.

The man was air-lifted to the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with serious injuries.

The motorcycle was reported to have moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
