Carbondale Police investigate crash involving pedestrian

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) � Carbondale Police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian.

It happened March 25 at 7:40 a.m. at the intersection of South Lewis Lane and East Grand Avenue. Officials say the crash involved a juvenile pedestrian and an off-duty Carbondale police officer.

The Jackson County Ambulance Service responded to the crash scene. None of the involved parties reported any serious injuries and the pedestrian was released to their parent at the scene without any further treatment. 

The investigation continues to be active and ongoing.
