(CNN) -- Bank of America says it will let some customers postpone payments during the coronavirus outbreak.
The bank said in a statement Thursday that the relief is for people who can show their hardship is due to the pandemic.
It says those customers might be able to pause mortgage, auto loan and credit card payments.
Bank of America says small businesses with loans could also get a break.
The financial institution says it will make the decisions on a case-by-case basis.
It says borrowers will eventually have to pay all the money that's due. But authorized postponements won't hurt a customer's credit.
