INA, Ill. (WSIL) -- A boil water order was issued on Wednesday for water customers in the Ewing-Ina area.
The Ewing-Ina Water Commission issued the boil water order in effect until further notice.
This impacts customers on Route 37 around the Benton Lake area.
The boil water order was issued after a water main break in the area.
The CDC recommends bringing water to a full rolling boil for one minute, or three minutes at elevations above 6,500 feet. Then allow the water to cool before using it.
When washing hands with tap water during a boil water order, it's recommended to use soap and water, then using alcohol-based hand sanitizer and let them air dry.
