Brookport Bridge back open after overnight closure

BROOKPORT, Ill. (WSIL) -- The U.S. 45 Ohio River bridge in Brookport is now open.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet - District 1, updated the public on Tuesday morning, stating the U.S. 45 "Brookport Bridge" over the Ohio River is now open after it was closed overnight due to hazardous road conditions.

The Brookport Bridge closed on Monday evening after a round of snow moved through the area.

The Brookport Bridge connects Brookport, Illinois, to Paducah, Kentucky.
