...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and near Murphysboro

.Moderate to major flooding continues along the Big Muddy River. At
Plumfield, the river is now forecast to crest in moderate flood
stage near 28.5 feet Friday morning. At Murphysboro, the river is
cresting currently cresting in major flood stage near 36.4 feet.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate to Major flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

28.6 feet on 05/02/2017.

Dorena-Hickman Ferry back open after winds calm

HICKMAN, Ky. (WSIL) -- The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is back open after being closed since Tuesday due to high winds.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the ferry was back open on March 20, after closing on March 18, because of the windy conditions.

The ferry is back on its spring schedule, with the last run from the Kentucky side at 5:15 p.m. and from the Missouri side at 5:30 p.m.

The Dorena-Hickman Ferry connects KY 1354 at Hickman, Kentucky, with Missouri Route A and Route 77 near Dorena, Missouri.
