GOREVILLE (WSIL) -- A Johnston City woman is charged with stealing checks from customers on her postal route.
Brittany Freeman, 27, worked as a mail carrier for the Goreville Post Office.
A grand jury indicted Freeman for stealing more than $500 dollars in rebate checks sent by Menards to customers.
The thefts happened between February and March 2020.
Freeman will be formally charged on July 27 at the federal courthouse in Benton.
