Women's Health Naturally holds quarterly event 'Women's Networking Breakfast'

Women's Health Naturally is planning their next event, the Women's Networking Breakfast. The event will be held at Longbranch Cafe & Bakery on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.

CARBONDALE, Ill., (WSIL) -- Women's Health Naturally is planning their next event, the Women's Networking Breakfast. The event will be held at Longbranch Cafe & Bakery on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.

According to one of the organizers, Terry Hickey, the quarterly event is meant to inspire and support other women. Hickey tells us the event began in January of 2023 following Covid-19. A few women met together to discuss the world post Covid. The women who met were at a variety of stages in their lives, some were starting new businesses, others were struggling. It was at that time, the same group of women decided to come together regularly, understanding that they were not the only women thirsty for connection. Since that meeting, the group has held an event quarterly to focus on women's health.

This quarter's event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with pastries and refreshments provided by Dayempur Herbals, with breakfast available starting at 8:45 a.m.

At the Network Breakfast on October 18th, guest speaker and SIU Women's Basketball Coach, Kelly Bond-White will be on hand. She's expected to talk about her third season as coach of the Salukis, her student athletes and how much she looks forward to working with the young ladies of her team.

After White's short speech, organizers say they plan to have introductions, announce upcoming events and share flyers. The rest of the event is meant to spend networking and making new connections.

While the event is free, registration is encouraged. You can find more information and registration at:
