51-year-old faces multiple charges, accused of throwing rocks at vehicle, police say

METROPOLIS, Ill. (WSIL) -- A 51-year-old faces charges after police respond to a call where a person and vehicle were hit with rocks.

The Metropolis Police Department reported their officers responded to a home in the 700-block of E. 8th Street for a domestic disturbance report on October 12.

Police said 51-year-old Robin Smith threw rocks at a victim's vehicle and a person was hit in their back. Police also accuse Smith of resisting arrest and struggling with the officers as well.

Smith faces charges of Domestic Battery, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Damage to Property and Disorderly Conduct and was taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
