Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 15.1 feet Thursday,
April 24.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Arrest made in Marion shooting

MARION (WSIL) -- A Marion man is facing charges after a shooting late Wednesday night.

Marion Police were called to the area of South Vicksburg St. and West Hendrickson St. around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim, who was not injured, told officers someone had shot out the rear window of his vehicle.

Officers arrested Nigia L.B. Petty, 22, for aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Petty is being held in the Williamson County Jail pending a first court appearance.
