Carbondale police looking for robbery suspect

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Police in Carbondale are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect who pulled a gun and demanded money from a victim in Carbondale on Sunday.

The Carbondale Police Department stated on January 12, at 8:20 p.m., a person reported they were robbed at gunpoint. Officers then started investigating the matter. 

Police said the victim was in the 2300-block of South Illinois Avenue and was delivering food when the suspect approached the person, displayed a gun and demanded money from the victim.

Police described the suspect as a black male, roughly 5'7" tall and wearing a black jacket with an Adidas logo on it, along with wearing black jeans.
