MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. -- Four people face drug charges in separate investigations over the past week.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said detectives first pulled over a vehicle on South 6th Street in Paducah on July 16. Authorities allegedly found small quantities of meth, synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff's office said Joshua Luna, 33 of Paducah, faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine 3rd or greater offense, possession of a synthetic drug 2nd offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In a separate investigation, earlier in July, detectives were investigating some fentanyl which was in the Lone Oak area. A McCracken County Grand Jury then heard testimony from a drug detective. Afterwards, Lucas Carter, 27 of Gilbertsville, and Brenda Morefield, 22 of Benton, Kentucky, were both indicted on two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree (Fentanyl).

Both Morefield and Carter were later arrested after traffic stops in McCracken County.
In another separate investigation, on July 24, the sheriff's office accuses Troy Ashford, 46 of La Center, of being involved in some illegal drug activities in Carson Park in Paducah. Authorities searched Ashford's vehicle and found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, the sheriff's office said.
Ashford is also accused of trafficking in marijuana as well. The sheriff's office said Ashford was arrested and faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine 3rd or greater offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking in Marijuana.
Ashford was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center. Luna, Morefield and Carter were all taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
