(WSIL) -- Illinois State Police confirm three people have been charged in connection with a homicide investigation in Gallatin and Saline counties.
Police say Troy Gwaltney, 42; Richard Emerson, 30; and Toria Emerson, 22, all of Eldorado, are charged with concealment of a homicidal death.
The charges come after the discovery earlier this week of human remains .
The remains were identified as Chase Mitchell, 32, of Eldorado. Mitchell was reported  in early May.
Gwaltney, Richard Emerson and Toria Emerson were formally charged Friday in Saline County.
Court documents allege the three "between April 15 and June 9, 2020, in Saline County, IL, with knowledge that Chase Mitchell had died by homicidal means, knowingly concealed the death of Chase Mitchell by transporting his body for the purpose of disposing of same..."
A bond hearing has been set for Monday. All three are being held in the Saline County Jail.
The investigation continues.
