WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) -- A man has a court date next month in Williamson County on burglary charges.

Timothy J. Buckingham, 42, of Marion, was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies and charged with residential burglary and possession of a controlled substance according to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office.

Buckingham is in the Williamson County Jail and has a court date set for November 15 at 9 a.m. according to Judici.

Deputies responded to a residential burglary on October 1 in the 12,000 block of Prosperity Road according to the sheriff's office. Deputies were told the suspect was driving a black van that was backed up to the door of a home.

The caller provided a license plate number to deputies who then traveled west on Stotlar Road and found a black Dodge Caravan that matched the license plate number.
Ìý
Deputies pulled the van over and found Buckingham inside along with multiple in the vehicle that were taken from the home. Investigators say Buckingham admitted to taking items from the home.

A probable cause search of the van recovered stolen property and controlled substances.
