One taken to jail after weapon complaint and gun found during traffic stop in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- One person was taken to jail and faces a felony charge in relation to a weapons complaint.

Officers with the Carbondale Police Department pulled over a vehicle in the 600-block of North Giant City Road for a traffic violation on September 27.

Police said the vehicle was earlier reported to be involved in a complaint where a weapon was unlawfully used from September 25th.

During the traffic stop, officers found a gun in the vehicle and arrested Adrielle L. Gaston, 21 of Carbondale.

Gaston is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and taken to the Jackson County Jail

The investigation is active and ongoing.
