CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WSIL) -- A third suspect in connection to an armed robbery incident from October was recently arrested in southern Illinois.
The Cape Girardeau Police Department said on December 9, Chrishon Sawyer, 19 of Villa Ridge, was taken into custody by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office after he is suspected of being involved in an armed robbery investigation.
Police in Cape Girardeau earlier reported on October 28, at around 7:45 p.m., officers responded to the 600-block of S. Spring Street for an armed robbery report. There police said a victim told them a dark colored Chrysler 300 pulled up and two people got out and pointed guns at him (the victim) and he was then robbed of his backpack with $200 in it.
The Cape Girardeau Police Department later took both Khamani Rutherford, 19, and Tristen Mackins, 20, both of Cape Girardeau into, into custody in early December.

All three suspects were charged with a Class A felony of robbery 1st degree and felony armed criminal action.聽
Sawyer is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
