GOREVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- A man faces multiple charges and a woman was sent to the hospital in connection to an aggravated domestic battery investigation.
The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said on November 20, at 2:55 p.m., deputies responded to Auburn Lane in the southern part of Williamson County for an aggravated domestic battery report.
Deputies then responded to another location to where the victim then went to.
The sheriff's office said the victim told them her and her boyfriend, identified as Michael Williams, were in a physical altercation and said she was kicked, choked and shot at multiple times with a gun.
The victim was also taken to Herrin Hospital for treatment for significant injuries, the sheriff's office said.
Later in the day, at 7:30 p.m., the Williamson County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at a home on Auburn Lane where they said they found multiple guns, ammunition and shell casings.

- Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm (Class 1 Felony)
- Aggravated Domestic Battery聽(Class 2 Felony)
- Aggravated Assault with a Firearm聽(Class 4 Felony)
- Interfering with Reporting of Domestic Violence (Class A Misdemeanor)
- Manufacturing/Delivery of Cannabis聽(Class A Misdemeanor)
Williams was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
