DU QUOIN (WSIL) � The Du Quoin Indians went after their third straight win Friday night taking on the Herrin Tigers.
In the opening five minutes of the game, Ethan Zettler comes up with the interception, and he’s going the other way. There were flags, but the play stood.
Moments later, it was the Herrin defense’s turn to shine. Jake Baumgarte with the interception ending a Du Quoin drive.
In the second quarter, the Indians kept it on the ground with a 65-yard touch down by Alex Zimmerman. That gave Du Quoin the 6-3 leadÂ
The Indians led 14-10 at the half. They shut down the Tigers in the second half to win 35-10.Â
The Indians are 3-0.
