...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels on the Big Muddy River will continue to drop, falling below
flood stage at Plumfield Sunday, and at Murphysboro Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until Monday, April 21.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 25.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday evening and continue falling to 19.1 feet Monday,
April 21.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Cairo junior/senior high school closed Monday due to power outage

CAIRO (WSIL) -- Parts of the Cairo Unit School District 1 are closed Monday, September 12 due to a power outage.

According to a Facebook post on the district's page, the closure effects Pre-K along with the junior and senior high school (grades 7th - 12th). Teachers and staff will work remotely.

Grades Kindergarten through 6th will still report to class.

A special school board meeting scheduled for Monday night has also been cancelled.
