Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River for the next
week, dropping near to below flood stage by April 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

HERRIN (WSIL) -- Students all across our region wait for that message saying leaders have canceled school.聽

One local superintendent is taking his snow day messages to a new level.聽

Herrin Superintendent Nathaniel Wilson took the 80s classic, "Eye of the Tiger," and used it to inform students they wouldn't have to go to school Friday.聽
