FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. -- A 20-year-old faces charges after he is suspected of breaking into a home in Franklin County.
The Franklin County Sheriff said their office received a 911 call from a resident within the county who said they just found someone in their house when they returned home.
The sheriff's office said the caller told them he went up to the male suspect which then fled the area on foot.
Deputies quickly went to the scene and started searching.
Within minutes, they found the suspect, identified as Kyle W. Georgi, 20.
Georgi was taken back to the home where the owner of the residence identified him as the person suspected of entering his home earlier.
Georgi faces charges of residential burglary and theft. He was taken to the Franklin County Jail.
The sheriff's office said under the Safe-T-Act, residential burglary is a detainable offense and that Georgi will remain in custody awaiting a detention hearing.
