BENTON, Ill. (WSIL) -- Area churches donated some emergency blankets to a local sheriff's office to help the public stay warm during emergency scenarios.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said Bobby Johnson recently stopped by to deliver the emergency blankets.
Johnson represents both St. Joseph and St. Johns Catholic churches in the area.
The Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon said the donated emergency blankets will be for squad cars to help anyone at crash scenes when they may be exposed to the cold elements.
