MURPHYSBORO (WSIL) -- The Jackson County Health Department has announced nine new cases of COVID-19 in the county.
Those cases include:
- A male in his twenties
- Three males in their thirties
- Two males in their forties
- A female in her forties
- A female in her fifties
- A male in his fifties
Each individual has been isolated, and the health department says all of the new cases are believed to have been acquired through local contact with known cases.
As of Saturday, April 25th, there have been 66 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jackson County including seven deaths.
Of the confirmed positive cases, 25 have been released from isolation in accordance with Centers for Disease Control guidelines.
