Man faces meth trafficking charges following early morning traffic stop

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) � A man is facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop by deputies. 

The McCracken County Sheriff's office says that, around 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday, deputies pulled over Kenneth Mitchell for an equipment violation. 

When pulled over, authorities say Mitchell provided false identification. 

While investigating deputies said they discovered meth, marijuana, money, and other items associated with drug trafficking, inside Mitchell's car.

Mitchell now faces charges including 1st-degree trafficking of a controlled substance, giving false identifying information, tampering with physical evidence, possessing drug paraphernalia, and possessing marijuana. 

He was booked in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
