CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WSIL) -- Governor Mike Parson and other state officials are on their 'Final Monday - Fly Around the State' tour.

Together they told voters what they plan to do for the state if they are re-elected.

News 3 attended the event at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport Monday afternoon to learn more about the governor's message to Missouri Voters the night before the election.

The governor's plane landed around 3:30 Monday afternoon and he clearly stated his message, he wants to get the vote out and get people into the polls. Governor Parson covered multiple issues. He spoke about bringing jobs to the area through his workforce development program. He talked about not de-funding the police and the importance of not being afraid to activate the National Guard when necessary.

Governor Parson said he did not want to speak against his Democratic challenger, Nicole Galloway, but said he thinks she lacks the life experience needed to do the job.

"If you're going to go through floods, if you're going to go through tornadoes, if you're going to go through droughts. And you're going to deal with the virus, I guarantee you, you're going to need to have some experience, and you're going to be able to need to understand what tough situations there are," said Gov. Parson.
