2.4 quake rattles southeast Missouri

OZORA, Mo. (WSIL) -- A small earthquake struck an area in southeast Missouri, resulting in multiple reports from area residents who said they felt it.

The United States Geological Survey reported the 2.4 quake hitting nearly four miles west-southwest of Ozora in Ste. Genevieve County, on January 20, at 11:13 p.m.

The tremor was recorded at a depth of 10 miles and three people reported they claimed feeling it.

Those reports came from Farmington, Bonne Terre and Festus in Missouri.
