41-Year-Old Dead After Single-Vehicle Crash

PUXICO, Mo. -- A 41-year-old is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Stoddard County on Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the crash happened along Highway J, two miles west of Puxico at 8:55 a.m. on Monday.

Vaden S. Woolard, 41 of Puxico was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Impala going west when the vehicle went off the road and hit a culvert, MSHP stated.

Woolard was pronounced dead at the scene by the Stoddard County Coroner Brent Stidham.

Woolard was reportedly not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.

MSHP reports this as the 20th death related to a crash in 2024 for the southeast Missouri area.
