NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo. -- Authorities are investigating a shots fired incident resulting in one person taken to a hospital.
The New Madrid County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to Morehouse where there was a report of an argument followed by a gunshot on Tuesday.
Deputies found a victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was then taken to the hospital, the sheriff's office said.
The sheriff's office then said they obtained a search warrant for the home of who they believe is the suspect.
While searching the home, authorities found several items which were seized.
The investigation is ongoing.
