LEEPER, Mo. (WSIL) -- The National Weather Service in Paducah is continuing to survey tornadoes which hit our community on the night of March 14 and morning of March 15.
Weather officials surveyed an area where preliminary results suggest an EF-3 tornado hit Carter and Wayne Counties on Friday night.
The path started just north of Eastwood at 10:28 p.m. on March 14, and tracked 24.4 miles northeast to just northeast of Leeper in Wayne County and ended at 10:56 p.m.
The peak winds were clocked at 165 mph with a max width of 400 yards.
