Entire Police Department Resigns in Southeast Missouri

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- The entire police department in Marble Hill submitted their resignation.

The Bollinger County Sheriff's Office said all members of the Marble Hill Police Department has submitted their resignations to the Marble Hill City Council.

The sheriff's office was informed on the matter on Monday, August 19, and they said the resignations will be in effect on August 23, 2024.

The sheriff's office said they are in communication with city officials in Marble Hill in regards to this situation and said they are confident they can negotiate a resolution to keep law enforcement services in the city of Marble Hill without the interruption or interference of daily operations.

"We understand the concerns that may arise within the community and want to assure all residents that the Bollinger County Sheriff's Office is committed to finding a viable solution," Bollinger County Sheriff Casey Graham said on a social media post.
