SIKESTON, Mo. -- The city of Sikeston cut the ribbon on a new water treatment plant on Tuesday.

The Sikeston Board of Municipal Utilities were joined by city leaders and the community at a ribbon cutting and grand opening event for the new 4.3 million gallon per day water treatment plant.

The Water Treatment Plant #4 started construction in March of 2020.

Those at the event also learned about the process on how the water is treated and how drinking water is delivered to the homes and businesses in the community.
