DEXTER, Mo. (WSIL) -- One person is dead and another seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said the crash happened at 12:26 p.m. on January 16, along County Road 413, roughly 1.5 miles north of Dexter.

MSHP stated a 27-year-old man from Dexter was driving a 2012 Nissan Titan going north on County Road 413 when the vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into a 2018 Dodge Citadel, driven by a 57-year-old woman from Bloomfield.

The driver of the Nissan Titan was taken to Mercy South in St. Louis and later pronounced dead. The driver of the Dodge Citadel was flown to the St. Francis Medical Center for treatment of serious injures.
