...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 22.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 14.0 feet Friday,
April 25.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Officers replace damaged flag for Hamilton County woman

HAMILTON CO. (WSIL) -- Not every call police receive is for a criminal matter.

On Thursday, the Hamilton County Dispatch Center received a call from a woman who said her flag had fallen.

Two officers responded and found the rope and flag in disrepair due to aging.

Hamilton County Deputy Bryson and McLeansboro City Officer Webb took the worn out items and replaced them for the woman.

The McLeansboro resident was ecstatic to have a new flag setup, just in time for Independence Day.
