Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels on the Big Muddy River will continue to drop, falling below
flood stage at Plumfield Sunday, and at Murphysboro Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Pets of the Week: June 10, 2021

CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- We have three dogs and one cat up for adoption, and one shelter has a special on adoption fees in this edition of Pets of the Week.

Smith might be a Terrier-mix who is about three to four years old. Smith weighs about 50 pounds and is friendly with other dogs but tends to be picky about the other dogs he likes. Smith does not get along with cats but is kid-friendly. He should be in an active family that like's being outside. To learn more about him, contact Perry County Humane Society.

A beautiful German Shepherd in Marion was picked up as a stray. He is one to two years old and looking for a home since he hasn't been claimed.

A gorgeous adult cat needs a name and a home. This week Finding Forever Animal Rescue in Marion has adoption fees lowered to $40.00 for one or $60.00 for two. All kittens fees are $75.00 for one and $125.00 for two.

Burger is a Beagle-mix who is about two years old. He loves to play, run, and jump, along with trying to fly sometimes. You may see him wind up his ears to try and take off. This goofy boy gets along with other dogs and cats. If you have room in your heart for him, he's at Wayne County Humane Society in Fairfield.
